What makes you go crazy!

Article summary

There are certain facts which are inconceivable. The more we imagine or think about them the more we confuse with them. In simple words; those subjects will drive us crazy! But still, there can be people who likes to dig deeper on to these subjects. So, I felt like writing down about those subjects by believing at least one will get the point behind this and stop driving him / she crazy! Good luck friends!

This sutta is in the Pali Canon > Aṅguttara Nikāya 2 > 4. Chatukkā Nipāta > 3. Apannaka Vaggo > 07th Sutta (Acintita Sutta  (AN 4:77) Lucky again to find a proper translation to this sutta too!

“There are these four inconceivable that are not to be conjectured about, that would bring madness & vexation to anyone who conjectured about them. Which four?

“The Subject of Samma Sambuddhas"

If further explained; Samma Sambuddha which commonly known as Lord Buddha & range of the Buddhas.  And the range of powers a Buddha develops as a result of becoming a Buddha, knowledge of a Buddha, facts about a Buddha like the way they born, and doing some special activities from childhood etc… etc., is a subject which one wish to dig further.  But this subject is so deep and unbelievably full of certain facts which surely enough to drive someone crazy.  So, this subject of Samma Sambuddhas, an inconceivable that is not to be conjectured about, that would bring madness & vexation to anyone who conjectured about it.

“The Subject of Jhāna-range of a person in Jhāna"

Meditation stages which one can occur and the range of powers that one may obtain while absorbed in jhāna again is a very deep subject which is not possible to dig deeper.  The more we dig deeper the more we find amusements.  But certain facts are can not be handle by a normal human brain or mind capacity.  That’s why again this subject is listed as an inconceivable that is not to be conjectured about, that would bring madness & vexation to anyone who conjectured about it.

“The Subject of Karmā"

Karmā also known as the effect which one gets according to the way they act, spoken or thought.  It’s the result of what we created as the cause.  The subject of Karmā is so deep and precise working out of the results of Karmā is not possible to explain.  This deep subject will surely an inconceivable that is not to be conjectured about, that would bring madness & vexation to anyone who conjectured about it.

“The Subject of world / universe”

Conjecture about the world, universe and the origin, etc., is an inconceivable that is not to be conjectured about, that would bring madness & vexation to anyone who conjectured about it.  Even though Buddhism describe about a beginning of the world Samma Sambuddha recommended not to dig further and hold on to the facts.  Because, it is again a deep subject to explore with our tiny amount of knowledge and capacity of brain.

“These are the four inconceivable that are not to be imagined about, that would bring madness & vexation to anyone who conjectured about them.”

Just think wisely, what is the use of thinking about something which we gain nothing out of them?  What is the use of thinking about something which drives us crazy just because we can’t come to a conclusion as the subject is far deeper to our framed thinking pattern?

The best part is these are not restriction.  The blessed one just warned and informed us about the consequences of digging these subjects deeper.  It’s not a restriction.  The best thing I found about these things is you get the answer to all these subjects and you get more information than ever you can imagine when you realize the pure dhamma which explained & exploded by a great Samma Sambuddha.

Whether it is about the subject of Buddha, or the subject of Jhāna… or the subject of Karmā or the subject of world… you find the base… the core of these subjects… the reason why these subjects are inconceivable and why these subjects would bring madness & vexation to anyone who conjectured about these.

Until then you may be wonder why can’t I… I can end up by exploring these subjects to the end without going crazy or vexation…

Trust me if you can my friends, you won’t spend a single time over these subjects if you would realize the deepness of dhamma which explained by the Samma Sambuddha.  Coz answer for everything is just there.  And you will surely know the theory of everything without accepting a theory of a scientist.  Coz actual theory of everything is not just a theory and it is more practical than you ever imagined!

So, have a blessed time and good luck with your searching!
