In year 2009;

The Project Nirvana Dhamma is formed by Rajitha Viduransi and Chandrashanth Fernando in Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, in 2009. The main project shares pure Buddhism through Online and as Live Events or Dhamma Programs.

When it comes to the online venture of sharing Nirvana Dhamma - the pure Buddhism with those who seek for it, the first online action has taken in year 2009, as a free blog with blogger, named “buddhism4nirvana”. Despite introducing only a blog, the Project Nirvana Dhamma now has spread its wings of wisdom & compassion to heal more hearts around the world in various online activities & live programs.

In year 2010;

The project created is official web site named www.nirvanadhamma.com and launched in year 2010.

In year 2011;

The founders took a break from all kind of dhamma sharing activities to advance their own insight through practices.  

In year 2012;

The main site has relaunched with a new look and new features to serve the users better with more deep teachings.  

In year 2013;

Introduced a Tipitaka Search for the site which allows users to be familiar with Pali Canon – Tripitaka – the main scriptures of the Buddhist teachings. The section is still in progress to serve better.

In year 2014;

The Project Nirvana Dhamma introduced a project joined hand with “Ahanna (listen) Video Production House” for the Deaf Community in Sri Lanka to share the Pure Buddhism in Sign Language for the very first time in Sri Lanka.   Also started live Dhamma Programs for the Sri Lankan Dhamma Seekers.

In year 2015;

The Project Nirvana Dhamma introduced a sub section for the web site named www.signlanguages-nirvanadhamma.com to introduce the pure Buddhism to the Deaf communities around the world by the name of “Nirvana Dhamma in Sign Languages”.

“Nirvana Dhamma” also ready to launch with a new experience of noble activities.

The main web site eventually came to cover vast area of deep teachings of Buddhism mainly in language Sinhalese for the Sri Lankan users. Also catered the English Language users for a certain level. The online venture is still developing its sections in Language English and also ready cater the Indian users in Language Hindi.
